Commissions
The commissions are appointed by the municipal council or the mayor after the municipal council elections. There are statutory commissions and commissions appointed by the municipal council or the mayor. The commissions have no decision-making or executive powers, but prepare business for the municipal council or carry out the business decided. Residents are directly involved in the processes that take place through their participation in the commissions.
Administrative Commission Special Assets Family Aid Vaduz
The legacies of the former "Family Aid Vaduz" are administered by a commission in the interests of the founders. A commision was formed for this purpose, in which the municipality and the Family Aid are represented accordingly.
Association for Waste Disposal
All Liechtenstein municipalities belong to the "Association for Waste Disposal" based in Buchs (SG). Its purpose is to build waste disposal and recycling facilities that serve the member municipalities to dispose of their waste in accordance with legal regulations.
Building and Planning Commission
The Building and Planning Commission advises the municipality with regard to local planning and the preparation of structure, zoning, development and design plans. On the basis of the building regulations, it deals with and assesses building projects, in particular with regard to exceptions, and makes corresponding recommendations to the municipal council.
Company Pension Fund Commission
The composition of the Board of Trustees is based on parity and is made up of three employer representatives and three employee representatives. The latter are elected by the workforce.
Cultural Commission
The main tasks of the Cultural Commission are to promote cultural life in Vaduz, support cultural associations and advise on the purchase of works of art.
Election and Voting Commission
The Election and Voting Commission has equal representation. Accordingly, each electoral group is entitled to appropriate consideration.
Energy Commission
The Energy Commission deals with issues relating to the certification and further development of Vaduz as an energy city.
Finance Commission
The Finance Commission advises on the preparation of the budget, the annual financial statements and the financial plan. It makes proposals on the appropriation of profits and investment policy within the framework of legal requirements and determines the municipal tax surcharge.
Forestry and Environment Commission
The Forestry and Environment Commission ensures the creation of a better quality of life through its commitment to environmental protection. It organizes environmental campaigns and draws up statements on government consultations in the area of the environment.
Funfair Commission

Josef Gabriel Rheinberger Prize
In 1976, the municipality of Vaduz created a cultural prize in honor of the composer Josef Gabriel von Rheinberger, which is usually awarded every two years. The prize is endowed with CHF 15,000.00 and is awarded for scientific and cultural achievements.
Land Acquisition Commission
Upcoming land transactions are discussed in the Land Acquisition Commission and submitted to the municipal council for approval.
Landfill Commission
The Landfill Commission monitors compliance with the legal regulations at the "Deponie im Rain" landfill as well as the permit conditions and the operating regulations. An on-site inspection of the landfill is carried out at least twice a year.
Leasing Commission
The Leasing Commission draws up leasing proposals for municipal land, which must then be approved by the municipal council. It advises the municipal council on all matters relating to leases.
Liechtenstein Housing Cooperative
The purpose of the housing cooperative is to meet the need for housing on a long-term basis at affordable financial conditions. It endeavors to provide housing in all municipalities in Liechtenstein and for all Liechtenstein residents - especially for families, people with disabilities and the elderly. It also promotes coexistence in the spirit of social responsibility and mutual solidarity.
Local History Vaduz
The association for Local History Vaduz aims to research, document and raise public awareness of Vaduz as a living space for past and future generations.

Mühleholz swimming and bathing facility
The two founding municipalities of Vaduz and Schaan are the supreme governing body of the Mühleholz swimming and bathing facility. The Board of Directors is appointed in parallel with the term of office of the municipal council.
Municipal School Board
The Municipal School Board manages and supervises the municipal school system in accordance with the provisions of the education law.
Personnel Commission
The Personnel Commission advises on personnel matters and is supported in this by human resources services.
School Route Safety Commission
The School Route Safety Commission checks whether there are any danger spots on school routes and draws up suggestions for improvement for the municipality. It advises on the construction and redesign of roads in order to avoid danger spots before they are implemented.

The following scrutineers were appointed in the municipality of Vaduz:
Security Commission
The Security Commission ensures public safety and the ability to intervene in the event of a crisis or emergency. It is responsible for the overall coordination of all security-related aspects. It is made up of a political core team as well as experts from rescue organizations and the administration.
Seniors' Commission
The Seniors' Commission coordinates senior citizens' activities in Vaduz, safeguards the interests and improves the involvement of the older generation in the community. It helps to organize the "Honour the Elderly" excursion, organizes six visits a year as part of "Experience Vaduz" and hosts the senior citizens' café in the Vadozner Huus every second Wednesday.
Sports Commission
The Sports Commission acts as a point of contact between sports clubs and the municipal council. It organizes the "Games and Sports Day" and advises the municipal council on the planning and construction of sports facilities. The aim is to provide the population with a modern infrastructure for sport, games and exercise, to offer a wide range of leisure activities, recreation and sport and to actively support clubs.
Standortmarketing Vaduz
The aim of Standortmarketing Vaduz is to promote the attractiveness of Vaduz as a business location. Events of regional and national importance are organized under the label "Erlebe Vaduz".

Sustainability Commission
The Sustainability Commission is tasked with implementing the sustainability strategy, further developing its content and maintaining it beyond 2030. It advises the municipal council on its strategic tasks in all matters relating to the sustainability strategy and implements its own projects. The Sustainability Commission's tasks also include raising public awareness of the issue.
Youth Commission
The Youth Commission of the municipality of Vaduz consists of a municipal councillor, young adults and a representative of the Open Youth Work Vaduz. It deals with issues that affect young people and young adults, in particular youth promotion and youth protection measures.
The Youth Commission advises the municipal council on the development of youth policy guidelines and objectives. It is also responsible for initiating and monitoring the implementation of the guidelines. It organizes the political participation of young people. It comments on plans and projects in the municipality in the interests of young people. It is responsible for the service agreement with the Open Youth Work Liechtenstein foundation, which is represented in Vaduz by the staff of the Camäleon Youth Club. In addition, the Youth Commission organizes the annual "Young Citizens' Celebration" in the municipality of Vaduz.
