Energy city
Vaduz has been an Energy City since November 25, 2009. This label is awarded by the Swiss Federal Office of Energy and the sponsoring association "Label Energiestadt" to municipalities that promote renewable energy and environmentally friendly forms of mobility and use resources efficiently.
On November 5, 2021, the municipality was also awarded the "European Energy Award Gold". This is awarded to municipalities that are particularly active in promoting climate protection, energy efficiency and renewable energies.
