Natural beauties
In addition to the pedestrian zone, the businesses and the residential areas, there are many natural beauties to discover in Vaduz.
Giessen
The Giessen stream is just a few minutes away from the center. The renaturalized body of water represents an ecologically high-quality and interconnected stream and pond landscape and is a habitat for many animals and microorganisms.
Irkelesbach
The Irkelesbach has a length of approx. 1.5 kilometers and has a near-natural design. It is located in the southern part of the Vaduz Rhine plain. The ponds and pools, the natural banks and adjacent meadows provide a habitat for animals, flora and fauna.
Neugutbach
South of the Aubündt, between Austrasse and the Binnenkanal, the Neugutbach flows into the Giessen. A pond with calm backwaters near the inland canal is a habitat for various amphibian species, fish and small animals.
Alpine Rhine
The Alpine Rhine is home to many animal and plant species. It has white water with a diverse fish population, the gravel banks and the boulder throw are breeding grounds and habitats for rare bird species, but also for reptiles and small mammals.
